I'm not very good at chemistry, but the cake turned out delicious as you can see in the following movie !!!!

  • 500 ml of warm milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 150 gr sugar
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 gr butter
  • 100 gr dark chocolate
  • a pinch of salt
  • garnish with cocoa and grated white chocolate
  • a lot of confidence in the intelligence of the ingredients to separate properly

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Smart chocolate cake:

Melt the butter with the chocolate in the microwave.


Rub the yolks with the sugar and add the mixture of chocolate and butter, then water, sifted flour, vanilla sugar and warm milk. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they foam hard and incorporate chocolate with light movements in the composition. It will result in a fairly liquid composition.

Grease well with butter, a dish of embarrassment and powder with flour, put the resulting composition and put in the preheated oven at a temperature of 150 degrees for an hour, until slightly browned.

After baking, let it cool and then put it in the fridge for a few hours. Powder with cocoa and grate the white chocolate for contrast.


The smart chocolate cake, how do we personalize it?

If you want, you can just put chocolate or just cocoa. Putting them both on, the cake will turn out chocolatey, dense and delicious. Of course, this smart chocolate cake will also cook over low heat, until the top is completely baked, and the composition will be completely hardened or will remain only slightly soft in the middle. If you made the vanilla version, you already know these things. If not, I want to tell you that the recipe is extremely easy to prepare. It is the kind of dessert that is easily made even by beginners. The only thing that can cause you problems would be the beating of the egg whites.

To achieve this, you must be careful when separating eggs. No drop of yolk should reach the egg whites, otherwise the egg whites will not increase in volume. Likewise, both the bowl and the mixer blades must be extremely well washed and without traces of grease, also for the same reason. Also be careful when incorporating the egg whites into the composition and do not mix too much. Today's theme of the Inspiration Food Marathon, an Electrolux initiative for culinary bloggers, is Swedish delicacies and as I missed the chocolate edition, I felt I had to compensate somehow. And I managed with the most chocolate cake and the consistency of a real brownie called kladdkaka & # 8230ok, you can only call it the chocolate cake if you want :))

I was inspired by here, but I reduced the amount of sugar and used the Emile Henry ceramic shapes (I have a rage for this brand) and when I saw them on my plate I was in a dilemma. Do I really have to share them with the rest of the family or do I somehow not even know they ever existed?


Chocolate cake

You can make cakes without a gram of flour. Laura Calder's cake is a delicious, fluffy and easy to prepare example.

Preheat the oven to 190 C. Wallpaper with baking paper greased with oil and flour with a round tray (22cm diameter) with removable walls.

Soak the chocolate in a double boiler. Add the butter (while it is in the bain marie) and mix well until incorporated. and

In a separate bowl, beat the yolks with half the amount of sugar until the sugar melts and the mixture thickens. In another bowl, beat the egg whites with the rest of the sugar until a hard foam is formed.

Take the chocolate mixture from the bain marie and pour it over the sugar yolks, stirring to incorporate the chocolate. Mix two tablespoons of beaten egg whites in chocolate and then slowly pour the chocolate over the egg whites. Incorporate with a spatula.

Pour the dough into the prepared tray and bake the cake for 50 minutes. After removing it from the oven, gently peel off the top of the tray with a knife. Don't be scared if the beautiful, round surface will collapse easily now. That's how it should look.

Serve the cake with sweet cream flavored with vanilla and orange.

Regarding the baking temperature, I prefer to bake the smart cake with chocolate at 180ºC. It is very good at 160ºC but the cake will stay longer in the oven. If you have a gas oven, you can't set the temperature and you have to watch the cake because, if the temperature is too high, it bakes on the surface before the middle thickens. If you notice that the cake has browned well on the surface but the middle is softer than the edges, turn off the heat and leave the cake in the oven.

The smart chocolate cake should be left to cool completely, even put it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight before cutting it. The layers are better delimited and the cake is cut nicer. And it seems to be much tastier cold than hot. Yes, of course I cut a few pieces shortly after it was ready, because we just can't stand it to cool completely :)
What can I tell you, the smart chocolate cake is absolutely wonderful and is suitable for any occasion. I also recommend the simple smart cake (with vanilla).
The ingredients below are for a 17 / 27cm tray. For a 25 / 35cm tray use 9 eggs and double the rest of the ingredients.
